In July, 2003 when I was taking these pictures, I turned the corner by Fanny Farmer and literally gasped when I found the Apache Beauty Center, the most preserved of all the stores in the mall. To stand in front of this store is to step back in time 30 years. The Apache Beauty Center holds the distinction of being the ONLY store at Apache to remain open and in its same location since the Grand Opening on 10/19/61, until the mall closed on 1/31/04.
