Apache Plaza Shopping Center opens to the public at noon! The mall opened amidst much fanfare, including then Governor Elmer Anderson's entrance by helicopter. It was unlike anything St. Anthony Village had seen before (or since). For the years that followed it truly was the "Center of the Community.'
